The labelled board and restricted layouts
The board has four rows and four columns, labelled 1–16 in row order. Choose 3, 4 or 5 hazards before starting. A complete hazard set is eligible only when the sum of the positive-divisor counts of its labels is a perfect square. For example, label 6 has four positive divisors: 1, 2, 3 and 6. Layouts are sampled uniformly from the eligible sets, not from all ordinary grids.
Exact rules and measured samples
The probability-based pricing rule and the finite set of eligible layouts define the mathematics. Tests of completed stopping policies have a 97% expected raw gross return; simulations are sample measurements around that benchmark. This is not a guaranteed session return, and abandoning an unfinished round follows the zero-refund reload rule. Rounded cell percentages must not replace the exact fraction in pricing.
Local balance and manual restoration
A fresh wallet starts at 1,000 play coins. The balance, including zero, and the fractional payout remainder are stored in this browser’s localStorage. When no round is active and the balance is below 10, Restore balance sets it to exactly 1,000. It does not add 1,000 or clear the stored fraction. Play coins have no cash value.
Local storage and third-party requests
The browser stores virtual balance and fractional carry locally. Clearing cached files may leave localStorage; clearing this site’s stored data is a separate browser action. Pages load Google Fonts and the Statinside visitor counter. No login or payment form is implemented, but that does not prove the absence of personal-data processing by hosting or third parties.
